Silverstone Healthcare Company To Hold Grand Opening Of Flagship Community Harborchase Of The Park Cities
DALLAS, Texas April 3, 2018 – Silverstone Healthcare Company, which owns and develops high-quality luxury senior living communities, announces the opening of its “new generation” assisted living and memory care community: HarborChase of the Park Cities. The grand opening will be held for invited guests and members of the media on Wednesday, April 18, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., with remarks beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Representatives from Silverstone Healthcare Company and Harbor Retirement Associates (operators of the community) will attend, along with Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings, Dallas City Council member Jennifer Staubach Gates, as well as Dallas arts and community leaders. On behalf of Silverstone Healthcare Company, Chairman and CEO Denny Alberts will present a donation to the Dallas Museum of Art’s Meaningful Moments Program. The monthly program is designed specifically for individuals with early stage dementia and their family members or caregivers and includes hands-on art activities at the museum with a new theme each month.
Guests will tour the mid-rise, eight-story community, which features 134 luxury apartments and is the perfect blend of modern amenities and classic sophistication. Fine foods including signature appetizers, sushi and desserts will be served, as well as champagne, fine wines, martinis and other cocktails. The “Celebrating the Arts”-themed opening will feature entertainers on different floors of the community, including the Dallas String Quartet, Cindy Horstman Duo, Cathy Richardson duo and Justin Cash Trio.
“We are excited to open HarborChase of the Park Cities and welcome residents to their new home,” said Alberts. “We worked diligently to create the highest quality community in the area with unmatched hospitality and irresistible elegance. We considered every detail with residents and their families in mind. Our community provides enriching activities that inspire the residents, and we support programs in Dallas that positively impact the lives of older adults. The Dallas Museum of Art’s Meaningful Moments Program is an outstanding way for people to connect and share stories. I lost my father-in-law to Alzheimer’s Disease, and I know families benefit from this program.”
“Our distinctive approach to senior care is the outcome of a highly experienced team of professionals with a true commitment to delivering quality senior care,” said Tim Smick, chairman and managing partner at Harbor Retirement Associates (HRA). “We will provide the residents of HarborChase of the Park Cities with not only a safe and secure home, but also a wonderful place where they can truly enjoy life. Our senior living services are the gold standard, and our goal is to make a difference in the lives of seniors. We believe that an engaged, enriching lifestyle is the key to a healthy body and happy mindset. We recognize the unique needs of each resident and at all times keep their social, emotional and physical well-being foremost in our minds.”
The senior living community is in a highly desirable location near the Dallas North Tollway and Preston Center and offers one- and two-bedroom apartments for assisted living and memory care residents. The spacious rooms feature private bathrooms, wood floors, carpeted bedrooms, walk-in closets, ceiling fans and granite countertops. The interior design creates a boutique-hotel feel with all the comforts and then some. Residents have an array of amenities to enjoy, including a community activity room, creative art studio, game room and a wellness and fitness center. A full-service salon with manicure, pedicure and massage rooms is available, plus each floor has unique social gathering and lounge areas. Formal, private and casual dining offer nutritious and seasonal chef-prepared meals served daily by Director of Hospitality Ke’o Velasquez, former executive sous chef at Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas.
The second floor consists of 29 apartments with controlled access and is dedicated specifically to memory care. Residents can enjoy private dining in a bright and colorful room which helps stimulate their senses, as well as their own private terrace and outdoor seating. The community also offers 14 apartments in “The Sound,” which is a program designed for residents with mild cognitive impairment that provides acceptance, attentiveness, patience and meaningful engagement. A dedicated team of care partners will be available 24 hours a day to assist residents.
“Our goal is to provide best-in-class communities that are as comfortable as your home, luxurious as a country club, and have the highest quality of care. I know we have achieved that at HaborChase of the Park Cities,” Alberts said. “The highly trained and attentive associates are truly focused on providing quality care with dignity and respect. We are passionate about serving seniors, and I hope future residents and their families feel the sense of joy we experience by serving them.”
